SET THE COURSE

This position is responsible for working with Tommy Bahama IT teams, business teams and external software vendors to implement and support technology across the company. Business systems include Retail Point of Sale, Merchandising and Inventory Management, Order Management, Supply Chain, eCommerce, Digital Marketing and Restaurant Tech. Functional Analysts collaborate with stakeholders to deliver targeted solutions under the guise of project management best practices. Responsibilities also include level two application support.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

Function

Working with IT, business and Project Managers, the Functional Analyst will:

Develop strong expertise in software and systems and play a key role in testing and release activitiesAct as a functional expert for applicable systems/applications; understand business use cases to help define technical requirements for new system capabilitiesResearch system functionality options to offer solutions to address business needsPartner with Project Manager and business stakeholder groups to define and document business and operations requirements. Develop business process flows as they relate to systems. Create functional and design specificationsPartner with Project Manager in the definition, management, and execution of Project QA, integration, and User Acceptance TestingRegularly engage with the project team on project status, top issues, critical risks, and key decisionsPartner with Project Manager in the identification of user training needs, planning and delivering user training, including writing training documentation and train-the-trainer sessionsPartner with Project Manager in the successful transition of system support to end user groups and Support and Operations group at project completionProvide end-user support for core business applications as neededPartner with Project Manager in the ongoing collaboration with partners/vendors to stay informed of new features/functionality that may benefit the businessPartner with Project Manager in the identification and advocacy of prospective initiatives/projects (e.g., Business cases, ROI)Partner with Project Manager to develop, maintain, and communicate project backlog and long term roadmap

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

Bachelor’s Degree in IS, Business, or equivalent experience3+ years in an industry-related environment using enterprise business applicationsProject management experience is a plusRetail experience is a plusHands on experience using merchandising, supply chain, eCommerce, digital marketing, or OMS systems is a plusService Now, Jira, Confluence experience is a plusRecognition of the complexities of business problems and the use of technology to realistically solve themActive listening to stakeholders and ability to translate business requirements into written system specificationsAbility to identify opportunities for improving business processes and use of technology to eliminate problems that impact productivity, output, distribution and ultimately, the bottom lineLead and facilitate effective meetings, including pre-planning and post meeting follow up.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to think strategically and tacticallyAbility to build working relationships with business and IT stakeholders; operate with a “team player” mindsetSolid experience creating and managing detailed requirements in support of software application/system projectsCompetent in business process mapping tools / processesAbility to quickly comprehend/learn new processes, systems, and methods

Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual’s experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.

Rate Range: $72,216.38-$120,360.63 annually
