Job Description:

How the FAE will make an impact:

Install, configure and integrate servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructurePerforming backups, troubleshooting and problem resolution for servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructureBuild highly available server clusters in a vSphere environmentBuild and configuring virtual networksDiagnose and tuning of VMware performanceDesign, plan, implement, and administer enterprise blade server and storage technologies in support of underlying virtualization infrastructureDevelop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resourcesDevelop and implement testing strategies and document results.Evaluate vendor productsProvide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff membersCreate and maintain VM templates used for rapid deployment of virtual machinesAssist with the coordination and implementation of hardware maintenance, upgrades, repairs, or replacements supporting the virtualization infrastructureProvide advice and training to end-usersParticipate in special projects as required

What you'll need to be successful:

A combination of 5 or more years of experience with Cisco FlexPod, VMWare (or equivalent virtualization technologies), or Network Attached Storage systemsExcellent knowledge of VMware and NetApp, to include deployments, migrations, clustering and high availabilityVMWare Subject Matter ExpertiseAbility to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesGood knowledge of SAN architecture, multipathing, iSCSI, FCoEBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceThe ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearanceDoD 8570 IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP)Computing environment certification in VMware (VCP-DCV), Cisco (CCNP-DC), or similar technology within 6 months of hire.

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
