As the Functional Safety Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and further developing the functional safety culture at OGS-Steering.
In this role, you will be part of a dynamic, multi-functional business unit alongside talented, innovative, and motivated engineers. Your focus will be on the successful implementation of functional safety-related products. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of the functional safety culture within the Steering business.
Based in Nordborg, Denmark, you will collaborate with managers and engineers across diverse cultures worldwide. In return, you will have the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while working in a global, flexible, and rapidly growing organization.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Fostering and developing the functional safety culture and mindset within the organization Owning functional safety management plans Ensuring and enhancing quality and alignment across projects and activities Conducting internal project audits to ensure development processes are followed by project teams Performing functional safety assessments of deliverables and process fulfillment Driving standardization and continuous improvement initiatives for development processes Training and supporting colleagues in functional safety activities Acting as the communication interface with external certification bodies Background & SkillsOutstanding communication skills with the ability to influence, inspire, and lead
To succeed in this role, you must have awareness of and the ability to apply functional safety standards such as IEC 61508, ISO 26262, ISO 13849, or ISO 25119.
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Software Engineering and have 5+ years of experience in functional safety design or Software Quality Assurance.
Strong networking capabilities, coupled with the ability to act with authority and integrity while communicating clearly and effectively, will be key to your success.
