Your role and responsibilities

Are your skills and professional interests founded within Functional Safety (FS) control systems and project management? Then we have the perfect job for you. That is, if you would like to apply your skills in a company where FS is a core focus and where you will contribute to further developing our high-level FS setup.You will get the chance to create valuable and tangible results in exciting, technical and complex pharma projects that span several years – with you as a key player all the way from the initial sale to commissioning on-site.No matter your role, your focus will be the same. As Project Manager, you are the one to ensure timely, high-quality deliveries that match the customer’s expectations and the specifications you have agreed on. You will do so by managing, setting direction, and motivating your teams of typically 4-10 ABB Project Engineers from our global organization.All projects are centered on Functional Safety implementation in ABB’s 800xA automation/control system and cover design, procurement, testing, delivery, and commissioning.The vast majority of our projects are currently in Kalundborg and Bagsværd (Copenhagen). You are free to choose if you want to be part of our Kalundborg or Ballerup office as long as you understand that you need to spend the majority of your time together with your various teams of engineers on-site and/or at the relevant office.Your responsibilities: •\tAct as the interface with the customer and gather the necessary information to initiate new projects.•\tCreate and manage project plans, follow up, and coordinate activities within the project team.•\tEnsure that all projects comply with all Functional Safety requirements.•\tPrepare and deliver monthly follow-ups covering both financials and deliverables.•\tManage contracts, coordinate with procurement, and oversee subcontractors.•\tContribute to bids and proposals, review cost calculations, and assess risks.•\tIdentify opportunities for additional projects or tasks and engage the appropriate stakeholders to realize them.

Qualifications for the role

\tEngineering degree in electrical/automation fields or equivalent work experience.\tAt least 5 years of experience in automation, with a strong focus on Functional Safety.\t1–2 years of project management experience and a desire for further development and education – we are ready to invest in your growth as project manager.\tMotivation to work in a regulated industry with high documentation standards.\tInterest in technology.\tA commercial mindset – you understand overall project economics and enjoy the negotiation aspects of the role.\tStrong communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead an international team of engineers.
