Fund Invoicing Control and Payments Senior Analyst, Associate 2

Who we are looking for

The main focus of this role is to execute various ex-ante Depositary controls around fund expenses and invoices, in line with Service Level Agreement and local/European regulation. Candidates must understand the role which Depositary plays in investment fund’s lifecycle and accurately and timely fulfil the duties to protect the fund’s end investor.

Under the supervision of the Team Supervisor, the Fund Invoicing Control and Payments Senior Analyst is responsible for calculating, posting and monitoring fund expenses, in line with fund’s prospectus, as well as for checking and paying out the invoices and monitoring fund’s liabilities. The Senior Analyst is responsible for verifying and reviewing the work performed by the Junior Analyst and for assisting the Team Supervisor in all aspects of his/her responsibilities.

As an experienced employee, Senior Analyst plays a key role in training and developing of new team members, is the first point of contact for all inquiries and provides on-the-job training for less experienced employees. The Senior Analyst works with other departments to obtain key data for service provision, error resolution and accounting discrepancies related to fund’s expenses.

Why this role is important to us

Depositary is an EMEA specific regulatory function with fiduciary duty to the end investor.

European investment funds, whether UCITS or AIF, must appoint a Depositary in accordance with the UCITS and AIFM Directives. The Depositary is responsible for the safekeeping of the investment fund’s assets and therefore ensures separation of those assets from the management of the fund. In addition, the depositary is required to perform oversight functions and, in this way, oversees certain activities of the fund manager such as valuation of the fund assets and monitoring of fund cash flows.

What you will be responsible for

Person in this role will be responsible for executing following tasks (preparation and review):

ensuring accurate funds’ expenses.processing and control of funds’ related invoices and payments.reviewing and verifying invoices for accuracy and completeness.resolving discrepancies in collaboration with internal and external teams.performing calculations and applying fees, expenses and rebates to accounting books within the specified time and with the required accuracy.proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with SWIFT, SEPA systems for payments processing.Min 1 year experience in Funds’ Expense Team, Payment Team, Depositary, Fund Accounting or related.Excellent analytical and numerical skills.Very good computer skills, including Excel proficiency : Advanced skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, advanced embedded formulas.Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of German would be an asset.Ability to identify and solve problems.Ability to independently organize working time and work under time pressure.Eagerness to learn and develop.Knowledge of AIFMD/UCITS/KAGB regulations would be an advantage.
