**Job Overview:** As a Fundraising Assistant, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and delivering our charity's fundraising plan within the region. You will provide remote administrative support and oversight for regional fundraising activities, acting as a bridge between the Head Office and regional fundraisers. This includes managing regional office requirements, exploring innovative fundraising opportunities, preparing and procuring fundraising resources, and handling queries and complaints. Your efforts will ensure the smooth execution of fundraising operations, establish effective communication lines, ensure cost-efficiency, and foster a positive working environment.
**Location:** Remote (Candidates must reside in California Bay Area/SoCal, Oregon, and Washington)
**Salary:** $50,000 (Negotiable)
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Event Coordination:** Organize and coordinate fundraising activities for events, conferences, or tabling at third-party events.
+ **Resource Preparation:** Conduct needs analysis, review event planning forms, and prepare necessary materials for successful fundraising events.
+ **Promote Positive Environment:** Contribute to a positive working environment to help grow the donor database and suggest new fundraising opportunities.
+ **Campaign Management:** Identify and manage regular and emergency campaigns through research, networking, and collaboration with the communications team.
+ **Centralized Support:** Serve as the central point of contact for local and national organizations, providing assistance, information, updates, and query resolution.
+ **Data Management:** Accurately manage all fundraising data, including AMS, suppliers, invoices, purchase orders, and campaign information to ensure audit trail in line with protocol.
+ **Volunteer Management:** Recruit and manage volunteers for events.
+ **Administrative Tasks:** Perform various administrative and clerical support tasks, ensuring adherence to the fundraising code of conduct and best practices.
+ **Travel Arrangements:** Organize travel and accommodation arrangements, maintaining relations with providers to ensure value for money.
+ **Liaison Support:** Provide support to fundraising colleagues, promoting a positive working environment.
**Qualifications:**
+ **Education:** High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
+ **Experience:** Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, whether paid or volunteer.
+ **Technical Skills:** Proficient with Microsoft products and computer literacy.
+ **Skills:** Strong administrative support and oversight capabilities, ability to suggest innovative fundraising ideas, and proficiency in resource preparation and procurement.
+ **Database Management:** Experience in managing fundraising databases, handling queries, and complaints efficiently.
+ **Communication:** Proactively establish clear, consistent lines of communication.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ **Visual Acuity:** Ability to use a keyboard and view a computer terminal.
+ **Coordination:** Good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity.
+ **Mobility:** Ability to visit various locations and stand/walk as needed.
+ **Lifting Ability:** Occasionally lift, carry, and move light to medium weight up to 12 pounds.
