Fundraising Specialist

We are seeking a Fundraising Specialist for the United Helpers organization, who would work out of the RiverLedge office complex in Ogdensburg. Responsibilities will include database management and work in donor relations, including processing donations, communicating with donors and preparing thank-you notes. This person will also assist with event planning for fundraising and employee recognition events, as well as offering support on the day of said events. Our fundraising specialist will assist with researching potential grants and fundraising opportunities, as well as offer support in the management of grant applications and work that follows once a grant is awarded. An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in non-profit management, business administration, marketing, or a related field is strongly preferred. One to two years of experience in a professional environment is required, preferably with experience in fundraising, non-profit management or another related field. Applicants must be proficient with Microsoft office, including Excel, Outlook and Word, while possessing the ability to learn how to utilize new software programs related to our database and other fundraising programs. Salary ranges from $18.85-$20.74 per hour, based on experience.
