The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating, controlling, and monitoring heat treating equipment, as well as troubleshooting and repairing vacuum furnaces. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to train others on furnace operations. **Responsibilities** + Operate, control, and monitor heat treating equipment according to standard procedures and customer paperwork. + Troubleshoot and repair vacuum furnaces, including programs, leak testing, pump and motor repairs, heating elements, and thermocouple replacements. + Perform furnace calibrations and uniformity surveys. + Conduct training on furnace operations and best practices for other operators. + Serve as the plant-wide Subject Matter Expert (SME) on furnaces and ovens. + Program and run multiple furnace/oven controllers. + Report any unusual problems or irregularities to a supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Experience in furnace/oven operation. + Ability to set up and change over new products and program machines to specification. + Mechanical aptitude. + Ability to read blueprints and drawings. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in a production environment demonstrating the ability to operate furnaces. + Knowledge of heat treat, heat transfer, and maintenance repair. **Why Work Here?** We offer a great benefits package including 401k, medical, dental, and vision plans, paid holidays, and paid time off.
