We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V\-280 Future Long\-Range Assault Aircraft \(FLRAA\), part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift \(FVL\) modernization effort\. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, and Bell's High\-Speed Vertical Take\-Off and Landing \(HSVTOL\) program, a next generation stop\-fold tilt\-rotor\. This position is onsite in Fort Worth\. **Furnishings & Equipment Engineer**
Bring your experience and ideas and help us develop solutions for energy attenuating seating systems, cargo hook, hoist, interior, and a variety of operational kits that provide additional capability to the aircraft\. You'll work with customer and hardware requirements to create analysis and technical specifications to inform system and component needs\. This role will be an integral part of the team, working closely the customer, other IPTs, and subcontractors\. You'll be able to hone your technical abilities on significant engineering problems, all while gaining experience in leadership and communication\.
**What you'll be doing as a Furnishings & Equipment Engineer**
Identify and document component & system requirements, create technical specifications and statements of work, and coordinate system interfaces\.
Execute the system CAD integration into the aircraft, including the creation of interface control documentation\. Bell utilizes 3DX as our CAD system and ENOVIA as our PLM system\.
Work closely with other teams to complete design trade studies to optimize the system key performance parameters\.
Manage component supplier activities to include specification compliance, design, documentation, and qualification\.
Support aircraft build and flight test activities with troubleshooting, data reduction, and creation of test plans and reports\.
**Qualifications**
**Skills You Bring To this Role**
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience is required\.
Solid understanding of the relationship between requirements, design solutions, and successful qualification\.
Ability to build and maintain effective communication with customers, suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams
Ability to manage component suppliers to maintain professional relationships and collectively achieve performance goals\.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook **What you need to be successful**
We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate\.
Bachelor's degree with a Major in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering\.
Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience\.
Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered\.
