SUMMARY

The Furniture Mover, as a part of the Workplace Solutions (On Demand/Client Services) team, is responsible for supporting t facility moves projects. What drives the success in this role, is your understanding of furniture systems, interiors, materials, and finishes. 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Engages and communicates with clients with a focus on professionalism, urgency and transparency Delivers on non-technical projects (i.e. furniture installation, furniture reconfiguration, office space.) Supports preparation of move packages and furniture tagging Develops and maintains effective relationships with clients. Ensures assigned projects are delivered on-time, within scope, budget and requirements, and complies with all regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements. Incorporates sustainable practices, where practical, into MAC delivery, in accordance with BGIS processes. Other duties as assigned

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

 

College Diploma or equivalent training Working knowledge of various furniture systems, interiors, materials, and finishes as well as knowledge of project management, move management,  Self-starter with strong organizational skills as well as ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to influence others to ensure timely and quality completion of projects Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing skills and client communication Ability to work overtime, nights and weekends, as required Ability to lift furniture.
