ZGF is seeking a Furniture Specialist to join our team in the Seattle office. We’re looking for creative, motivated and curious design talent with a passion for Architecture, Interior Design and the built environment. We’re offering a position within the Interiors Group for an individual who will work with and support experienced design staff on a diversity of project opportunities

As a Furniture Specialist, you will…

Develop furniture budgets, specifications and bid packagesHave the ability to design layouts showing location of furniture and equipmentCoordinate vendor quotes for the procurement of furniture and installationMeet with clients, conduct programming to understand their needs and plan appropriate solutions to meet their requirementsBe able to remain focused on multiple projects at one time with competing timelinesHave the ability to coordinate furniture fairs and sit testsHave the ability to work successfully with other professionals in a collaborative environmentHave a thorough understanding of the design and documentation process and ability to create, direct, and manage large-scale projects from start to completionHave a thorough understanding of material and finish properties and appropriate applications for a variety of furniture types and settingsHave superior graphic skills and the ability to communicate design intent through both digital and traditional graphic mediums is a plusHave experience working with large teamsBe able and willing to travelHave the ability to create presentation sheets in Revit and InDesignHave the ability to learn new software

Qualifications:

A bachelor (or higher) degree in Interior Design or Architecture and 10 years minimum of
experience in the field.Proficient in RevitProficient in furniture specification software SpecSource is a plusFor planning and layout purposes, have a basic understanding of building code and ADA
requirements and clearancesExperience on healthcare, workplace and higher education projects is desirable. Proven experience in successfully managing clients and team decisionsProficiency in selection and specification of FF&EHave superior organizational skills

Base Salary Range

$83.000/yr - $113.000/yr
