Futures Support Program Analyst (S&TPolicy)

The Missions, Concepts and Capabilities (MCC) division of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking an energetic Futures Support Program Analyst to support program oversight of and advocacy for leading-edge Science & Technology for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering’s (OUSD(R&E)). In this position, the employee will assist in developing portfolio management processes to assess and update the portfolio investment strategy.  This includes medical research and development, developing roadmaps for technology and regulatory development, and development of metrics for assessing programs. This position is onsite at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA five days per week.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of recent and relevant experience Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related fields such as medicine, biology, neuroscience, psychology, or toxicology. At the discretion of the government, degree requirement may be waived in lieu of relevant work experience. Top Secret/SCI clearance Proficient in technical writing Proficient communication skills, including unstructured verbal interactions, briefings, and meeting moderation Proficient in scientific/engineering research In-depth knowledge of human performance, training, environmental sciences and biosystems Ability to work independently with both junior and senior staff in a distributed environment while maintaining a strong commitment to deliverable schedules
