FVP, Marketplace Strategy and Ops

A Typical Day The Marketplace Strategy and Operations Lead will be a critical founding member of Pennymac’s Marketplace team. As the FVP, Marketplace Strategy and Ops, you will work with key business leaders to learn the current state process and earn trust. This person will earn high credibility to make continuous, positive technology and process changes. The FVP, Marketplace Strategy and Ops will: Develop a deep and broad understanding of the current-state needs of the business Build a vision for the future-state of technological capabilities Design solutions based on these needs and visions in collaboration with other stakeholders Create teams to deploy these solutions first within Pennymac and then to the market as a whole Design and execute the “best of the best” future state systems and workflows Perform other related duties as required and assigned Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree MBA or equivalent work experience. Equivalent work experience can include anything that testifies to your business judgment and execution capabilities. Some examples include: Experience as a Project / Engagement Lead or equivalent at a top management consulting firm; Experience in another competitive environment that requires both quantitative analysis and client-facing work; 3-5+ years of relevant work experience Expertise in standard business tools. Bonus points for experience in coding / analytical tools (Python, R, SQL) The ideal candidate is an ambitious team player that can be each: Analytical: structured, logical, incisive. Collaborative: a team player that can learn on-the-ground while building strong relationships. Many people are analytical, few can do this while building relationships on-the-ground. A good test for this is: can you spend a week onsite with operators and have the team you’re working with enthusiastically want to work with you again? Clear: in many senses of the word. A clear thinker: able to articulate what matters most with concision and accuracy.
