This job is a Federal Work Study, non-benefited position in the Office of Human Resources that reports to the Manager of Human Resources. Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a federally funded program by the Department of Education. This program provides part-time jobs for undergraduate students with significant financial need and is administered by the FWS Coordinator, and the Office of Financial Aid, in accordance with the law, federal regulations, and with instructions from the United States Department of Education.
Salary : $13.50 per hour.
Hours: Days and Hours are flexible up to 20 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be eligible for funds through the Federal Work Study Program for the current semester at Gwinnett Technical College and be in good academic standing.
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the minimum qualifications, one year of office experience. Human Resource Management Program student preferred.
Additional knowledge, skills and abilities need to be successful include: ability to manage multiple tasks; file accurately. Must be organized and detail oriented, team oriented, able to follow instructions, work independently, abide by confidentiality policy, be dependable and professional. Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills a must.
Job Description Summary:
Under close supervision, provides clerical support and office assistance to the Human Resources Department. Job duties include but are not limited to: operating office equipment, front office receptionist, filing and general office/clerical work.
