Role/ Department:

The FX Trade Support/Trading assistant team supports the Northern Trust foreign exchange desk within a global middle office environment. The trade support team is split across three locations globally, London, Chicago and Singapore. This specific role is based in the London dealing room in a small team, situated directly next to the London foreign exchange traders.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Responsible for providing client service through the execution of daily functions and tasks.Works effectively both as a team member as well as an independent self-motivated individual.Responsible for providing timely response to queries and finding resolution to avoid repetitive actions.Able to identify opportunities for improvement within existing technology applications while acting as a liaison with Partner areas to drive resolution.Keeps abreast of emerging industry trends.Cross train on other functions as well as provide back up.Able to analyse and tackle queries confidently as they arise.

Skills/ Qualifications:

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

Technical knowledge of the Foreign Exchange product is required.Analytical and problem solving skills.In-depth Functional / Industry knowledge.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Technical skills / systems knowledge is required. (Spectrum, Excel desirable)
