POSITION SUMMARY:
This position’s primary focus is to complete hydraulic analysis/flow assurance for low pressure and high pressure natural gas and light crude gathering systems. The candidate may also be asked to develop Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) for midstream natural gas and light crude facilities including pipelines, compressor stations, pump stations and other related facilities. All work will be performed in compliance with company standards, procedures, and government requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Must be able to create model(s) within Synergi Gas/Synergi Liquid utilizing shapefiles and information from PI/PI Vision, FLOWCAL & producer forecasts
+ Ability to create/develop/interpret transient models in Symmetry and/or SPS is a plus
+ Must have broad knowledge of natural gas and light crude processing and operations
+ Must have general knowledge of field operations and system troubleshooting (pigging, hydrates, etc.)
+ Must have a general knowledge of compressor and pump station equipment sizing & operation
+ Demonstrated ability to (or Have experience with working) work closely with Operations, Producer Customers, Business Development, and Construction to develop accurate and concise FEED project documentation
+ Must be able to work independently and accomplish assignments and projects with minimal supervision and complete within allotted time requirements
+ Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with all levels of individuals/employees and to present to relevant stakeholders
+ Must be able to travel 25% of the time
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Required Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university plus 4-10 years of relevant natural gas and/or oil industry experience
+ Work Environment: travel to field locations will be required; therefore, a valid driver's license is required
SKILLS:
+ Must be able to handle assignments and projects with minimal supervision and complete within acceptable time standards.
+ Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of individuals/employees.
