The Gallery Monitor’s purpose is to provide tours and sell tickets to the Gallery of Iconic Guitars and the Frederick Hart Studio Museum.  Answer questions and monitor visitors of the gallery spaces.  The position is a hybrid position that will work in the Gallery of Iconic Guitars/ Frederick Hart Studio Museum giving tours but will also work on special projects related to the collection.

Remain in the gallery throughout the shift and keep a count of visitors. Handle ticketing for visitors.Be completely knowledgeable of the collection and gallery space.Notify supervisor of any issues or anomalies that may arise during a shift.Students must remain in the gallery until the replacement student worker is present. Notify on-duty staff immediately if there is a ‘no show’.Wait for the Security to arrive before leaving the gallery and notify Security and supervisor in the event of an emergency.The galleries are open from 10am to 4:30pm Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Sundays 1-4:30pm. Opportunities to work special events available.
