GAM COORDINATOR
JOB PURPOSE
To provide tactical and operational leadership at the NO level in the implementation of the CenAm NT grant fundraising strategy and GBPs, enhance NO capacity and positioning for acquiring bi & multi-lateral grants and private funds, and meeting donor and WV accountability standards.
This position’s core responsibilities include but are not limited to developing and implementing the NO GBP (Gam Business Plan); co-lead (along with ND and relevant Technical Leads/ETs) the NO’s donor engagement & positioning efforts; ensure up-to-date and accurate donor landscape mapping (business intel); keep up-to-date directory of key donor staff; inform senior leadership of key donor funding and technical trends; carry out due-diligence processes on new private donors; coordinate and/or support proposal development processes and insure all necessary conditions required by DDOs are met; tracking and reporting on GAM metrics including the on-time submission of the Q-GAM report (on excel &/or Horizon); (in coordination with Grants Compliance Officer) provide oversight and support to projects that ensures quality and adherence to WV and donor requirements; and coordinating capacity-building activities for local non-GAM staff.
The role will report to the National Office GAM/Sustainability Manager as well as to its corresponding CPD through a matrix reporting relationship.

Ensure all relevant staff are aware of & carry out their donor engagement roles & responsabilities & have the capacity to do soMaintain up-to-date key donor staff directoryTrack key donor funding & technical trends & pass info to relevant NO (& other Partnership) staffEnsure timely due-diligence screening processes on new donorsCo-lead, coordinate, & support proposal development processes
Provide leadership to proposal-development processes – be focal point for coordination within NO & with other external actors (SOs, partners, etc.)Develop w/DDOs proposal-development workplan and coordinate implementationEnsure DDOs have all inputs & conditions required for smooth proposal-development processOrganize proposal design workshopsEnsure proposal-development best practices are followedSupport proposal writing &/or budgeting if requiredGrant management & compliance
In coordination with the Projects Director, nsure high grant management standards (reporting, procurement, visibility, transfer of assets, audit, etc.) are understood & applied by NOIn coordination with the Projects Director, ensure all grant-funded projects comply with general & specific rules & regulationsCoordinate with NOs to ensure regular monitoring visits to grant-funded projectsCoordinate financial management compliance, oversight, & support with RGFMFlag and escalate grant implementation risks to senior leadershipEnsure NOs are maintaining up-to-date grant financial and risk monitoring dataEnsure NO staff are adequately trained in grant management & complianceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education
Degree in development studies, economics, business administration, sociology, anthropology, international relations, or any other relevant field of social science.
