Game Presentation and Event Supervisor

Position Summary:

This position will provide critical support all game day and event planning for the game presentation and events departments within the Connecticut Sun and will oversee game day and event staff.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

Support the game presentation and events manager for all game day and event planning – including ROS distribution, PA packet creation, emcee scripting, communicating all rehearsal and run-through timing.Research and present promotional components and content ideas (theme nights, giveaways, entertainment) to team based on overall game presentation and scheduling needs.Procure and manage all game day concourse activities including gift giveaways and fan engagement activations from delivery, to warehousing, set-up, and breakdown.Manage the schedule and communication for all mascot appearances including game days and off-property appearance requests.Assist VP of Business Operations with managing the upkeep of retail partner/merchandise procedures and set-up on the arena concourse. Provide input on how to maximize space and exposure for retail operations.Oversee the hiring and scheduling of all seasonal interns for in-office and game day responsibilities.Execute CT Sun events to ensure positive guest experiences.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor retail/merchandise online shop to ensure constant upkeep and accuracy.Maintain database for game day vendors including national anthem performers and halftime entertainers.Create opportunities in off-season to work with community groups to expose brand by finding appearances for team mascot.Assist community relations team in executing off-season events.

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

Bachelors’ Degree in Sports Management, Business or a related fieldTwo years’ experience working in game presentation or events for a professional sports teamStrong knowledge of and experience in entertainment industry (dance, music, etc)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and multi-tasking skillsIntermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and OutlookIn lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, five years’ experience working in game presentation or events for a college or professional sports team

Competencies:  Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and proceduresUnderstanding of project management toolsEffective utilization of Mohegan Sun Evaluation programsThorough understanding of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment

Training Requirements:

Excellent knowledge of Ascent, Time & Attendance system, and Manager Self Service systemsKnowledge of Mohegan Sun budget planning and analysis process and proceduresMohegan Sun CER and purchasing procedures

Office work environmentGame night in-arena activitiesOvernight travel may be requiredMust be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
