Under the guidance of the Manager, Gaming Technical, the Supervisor, Gaming Technical leads a team in delivering innovative, high-quality solutions that protect game integrity and support organizational success. The Supervisor, Gaming Technical will mentor a dynamic team of gaming technology experts, fostering a culture of accountability and empowerment, with a focus on measurable outcomes, strategic problem-solving, and collaboration. This role plays a vital role in enhancing productivity and achieving exceptional results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Protects and maintains the integrity of gaming technology by adhering to regulatory standards and documenting actions for regulatory purposes. Oversees and participates in investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues to ensure fairness and reliability. 2. Utilizes data and insights to promote continuous improvement, streamline workflows, and enhance both productivity and the quality of outputs. Ensures that all processes and outcomes meet high-quality standards through quality assurance evaluation.3. Utilizes data and best practices to oversee root cause and regulatory analysis of gaming technology. Ensures thorough testing and effective solutions to prevent future problems, and improves reliability, to promptly resolve technical issues.4. Verifies and conducts quality assurance evaluations on processes, products, technology, and supporting program materials to support department objectives and improve operational success.5. Oversees and enforces adherence to regulatory standards, compliance with regulations, technical standards, and determination to uphold game integrity and regulatory actions, including the seizure of unapproved or defective devices as defined by department protocol.6. Ensures accurate and timely updates in databases and reports throughout all project phases to effectively communicate status and meet documentation requirements.7. Protects the security and accuracy of gaming software inventory by maintaining controls, tracking shipments, and verifying records. Investigates discrepancies, recommends fixes, and ensures compliance and integrity of the gaming software.8. Works with vendors and tests laboratories to expedite shipments, open tickets, and manages product notifications and reviews.9. Offers guidance, resolves issues promptly, and ensures seamless and efficient operations during off-hours. Available on call to address team questions, handle emergency situations, and provide support as required by company policy.10. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required. Majoring in Information Technology (IT) or Engineering preferred.
Minimum four (4) years of experience in technology, engineering, electronics, mechanics, data communications, or related area of expertise required. Preferably in the Gaming industry or Regulatory/Compliance.
Minimum two (2) years of proven experience in a technical leadership role or technical project management experience demonstrating holding team members accountable with clear expectations and fair assessments, with a track record of delivering impactful results required.
Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.

Ability to create high-quality, leadership-level reports with detailed accuracy sufficient for use in Tribal court cases and take regulatory action.
Must be computer literate and have documented technical experience.
Ability to learn, retain, interpret, and apply Technical Standards, Tribal, State, and Federal Laws.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook required.
Proficiency in internet research is mandatory.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
