Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supervising the maintenance of private fleet equipment, storage trailers, and various plant equipment.

Responsibilities include: Managing and performing contracts from 3rd party maintenance suppliers; overseeing the in-service of newly acquired assets; re-positioning wrecked equipment; correct and drive efficiency with billing procedures with suppliers; coordinating and motivating Team members; drive out maintenance cost through effectively managing preventive maintenance strategies; coordinating with operations to provide low cost options in over-the-road maintenance.  This position will have direct influence and responsibility for maintenance exceeding over 35 million annually. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Manage Road Service Maintenance Supervisors. Manage wrecked assets for long-haul and grow-out fleet. Repair Buyout decision.  Request and facilitate CIR s for complex total losses. Assist in facilitation of newly purchased assets and recently sold assets private fleet. Liaison between the supplier shop and operations private fleet. Works with current MS on trading equipment etc. Actively manage the wrecker fleet 3 drivers with repositioning wrecked equipment and grow-out equipment. Help correct and drive efficiency with billing procedures with supplier utilized by our MS group. Manage contracts for over-the-road maintenance suppliers (for example Pilot TA.)  Understanding DOT compliance and safety. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred. 

Experience: 5 plus years. 

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills required SAP experience preferred. 

Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills. 

Special Skills: Specialized knowledge of truck of trailer mechanical systems. 

Supervisory: Responsible for managing maintenance supervisors and/or road service team members. 

Travel: 1 or 2 times annually.
