Gas Chromatography Team Lead
**Overview** Element has an opening for a **Gas Chromatography (GC) Lead** position at our extractables and leechables (E&L) testing Center of Excellence in Bend, OR. The main responsibilities of the role includes but are not limited to providing operational oversight & support in the GC department for the execution of Extractable and Leechable (E&L) studies. This position requires working as a supervisor in a collaborative manner to accomplish organizational goals, providing ideas to improve efficiency and actively contributing to positive co-worker/customer relationships. The GC Lead will work closely with the management team and GC team members in a collaborative manner to accomplish organization goals, while fostering an environment of continual improvement. *Only Applicants that submit a cover letter will be considered for this role* **Responsibilities** + Promote growth and development within the GC Team and greater Element E&L organization. + Monitors GC team workloads and utilization. + Creates GC team schedules to ensure project work throughput is maximized and high priority non-project work stays on track. + Routinely performs basic through advanced GC data analysis such as but not limited to El spectral interpretation. + Verifies deliverables are performed, documented, and completed according to customer expectations and quality system requirements. + Actively promotes continuous improvement and E&L continuing education. **Skills / Qualifications** + B.S. in chemistry or related field. + 2+ years experience with GC-MS sample and data analysis. + 2+ years experience with extractable/leechable studies preferred. + Strong teamwork, organizational and leadership skills. + Ability to communicate effectively; strong written, oral and presentation skills. \#LI-TK1 **Company Overview** Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
