This position will support the Pipeline Compliance Department and is the second level within the Gas Pipeline Compliance Analyst job family. This role will have the ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making in planning, organizing and conducting work assignments. The incumbent will be expected to proficiently perform assignments needed to carry out all aspects of the job. Effectively use proper resources to develop solutions and devise innovative approaches to problems encountered and identify and eliminate unnecessary work and non-value-added activities.

What You Will Do:

Analyzes pipeline compliance/integrity management records, reports, inspections, plans, policies, procedures, and records management (including validation of engineering records), pertaining to State and Federal regulations, and in conjunction with gas transmission, distribution, and storage.

Coordinates development and review of pipeline compliance/integrity management plans, policies, and procedures, including overall process for document review and documentation archival.

Write, prepare, and publish standards and procedures based on changes required by gas regulations or gas operations processes.

Participates with company and industry program teams and or reviews.

Will have a heavy focus in technical writing to include: Maintain and update Enbridge Ohio Standards Operating Procedures (SOPS) and plans. Regularly review written policies and procedures. Review operator qualifications and training job aides to incorporate the applicable SOPs. Partner with training department to communicate, train, and implement training and gas operations SOPs as well as prioritizing the rewrites of SOPs. May involve training on SOPs. Writing pipeline safety management systems (PSMS) alerts to implement across gas operations. Work with training department to develop SOP training content. Coordinate the annual review of procedures. Propose changes, create drafts, and make revisions once the need for a change is identified. Use SharePoint site to track and create revisions. Once the appropriate revisions are complete, perform due diligence to confirm that the information is accurate and compliant with any applicable laws or gas regulations. Responsible for change management including planning communications of changes, coordinating training if necessary, and ensuring all involved parties are notified.

Who You Are:

Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years directly related experience; or

Associate degree and 5+ years directly related experience; or

High school diploma and 7+ years directly related experience

Directly Related Experience includes: pipeline safety, regulatory compliance, training, gas operations, customer service, procedure writing, or other related field.

Interpersonal relationship skills with internal and external customers and ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Strong computer and related software skills.

Problem solve and analyze data as it is related to pipeline compliance; compose reports, letters and documentation for internal and external customers using proficient formal writing skills and general ability to prioritize assignments, and to work with large volume of documentation.

Prepare documents, using prescribed format, and conforming to all rules of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Edit technical documents and procedures.

Prioritize assignments, and work with large volumes of documentation.

Grasp technical subjects quickly and perform research if needed.

Preferred qualifications: 3+ years experience in natural gas operations, integrity management or pipeline safety, training; or experience with project coordination/management; or experience working with compliance and legal documents; experience developing training material; familiar with procedure use and adherence policy (PUA); understanding gas operations and regulations; understanding operating procedures, Staten and Federal pipeline safety codes and pipeline industry terminology. Knowledge of Adobe Professional and SharePoint.

Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):

Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 45 amount of pounds), grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Education Requirements:

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor’s preferred.

Disciplines preferred: Business management, Communications, Engineering Technology, or Information Science.

Licenses, Certifications, or Qualifications Description:

Possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving history.
