As member of a Company that develops and deploy the most advanced technologies to serve energy and industrial companies the role will include, but will not be limited, to follow all engineering activities related to the analysis, selection and management of the Gas Turbines (GT) configuration that will fit the need of more efficient, more reliable, and cleaner solutions.

As a Gas Turbine Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Working and interacting with all the relevant peers (colleagues, external collaborators, consultants, etc.) within Turbines and Axial Expanders Organization (TAEE), New Product Definition Teams (NPD), Supply Chain (Manufacturing and Sourcing), Commercial and Quality Teams.Conducting feasibility studies, for the technical design of GT components, for the CAD modeling, for the release of constructive drawings and for the management of the part codes. Covering responsibilities related to the turbines configuration selection and the management for all New Units and Service projects. Being responsible to perform feasibility studies, to manage configuration changes and project requirements related to the flange to flange parts of Baker Hughes turbines.Partaking to all product development steps (industrialization, standardization and flow production) and broader initiatives related to turbine products cycle time.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar from an accredited institution.Be able to relocate to Florence. Be able to demonstrate knowledge of Turbo Machinery or mechanical systems.Be familiar with commercial tools (such as Ansys, Unigraphics NX or equivalent) Display a good ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications and manufacturing processes and evaluationsBe able to show good problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills.Have the ability to work in teams and achieve targets and to work in a global environment.Be excited by learning new technologies and understanding how these apply to different industries.Be fluent in English and have a EU Work Permit.
