Basic Purpose/Accountabilities: Reporting to the Manager, Clean Products Trading, the Gasoline Trader will be dedicated to trading gasoline. This role will work with the Global Clean Products trading team to identify and capture gasoline trading opportunities to generate profits, both regionally and globally. The incumbent is accountable for meeting Clean Products Trading functional and business goals in a timely and organised manner while ensuring adherence to Phillips 66 core values, code of business conduct and ethics. Primary Responsibilities: + Contribute to the Singapore Clean Products Team realizing annual profit objectives. + Pro-actively identify, develop, and implement trading strategies to capture value from gasoline markets in both physical and financial trading. + Optimize use of storage position and generate value though sourcing and blending of components. + Compliment physical trading through use of financial/derivative trading to add value from market knowledge. + Cultivate & enhance targeted counter-party relationships in order to expand Phillips 66 market presence and increase trading potential. + Negotiate with counter-party traders to successfully conclude gasoline transactions. + Work with traders from Phillips 66 trading offices across the globe as part of the global trading teams. + Accurately enter gasoline deals into our deal capture system. + Work with mid and back-office support teams to ensure accurate reporting of positions. + Develop and maintain an understanding of Phillips 66 global gasoline trading activities. Basic / Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree or higher. + 5+ years of energy industry experience, including at least 3+ years of gasoline trading experience (physical and/or derivatives) in East of Suez markets with international trading exposure. Preferred Skills: + Entrepreneurial skills. Comfortable trading in an “blank sheet of paper” environment. + Experience trading gasoline and components in the Asia Pacific and Middle East. + Experience in managing tankage program. + Knowledge of global gasoline trade flows and in-depth understanding of arbitrage economics. + Understanding of pricing and volume exposures and tools/strategies for managing risks. + Strong negotiating skills. + Knowledge of gasoline cargo operations and marine markets. + Knowledge of East of Suez gasoline logistics and terminals. + Advanced computer spreadsheet skills. + Results oriented with ability to think and act decisively and independently under changing circumstances. + Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and communicative (speaking and writing) skills and often with persons of another business culture.
