No Duties and Responsibilities Loyola University Health System and Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time clinical practice gastroenterologist to join our nationally ranked Digestive Health program. The ideal candidate should have excellent skills in general gastroenterology and have a focused clinical interest and expertise in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), patient management and pharmacologic treatment. The candidate should be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Gastroenterology and possess an Illinois license at the time of appointment. The candidate must have a commitment to teaching and mentoring as well as academic productivity. The preferred candidate will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.Loyola University Medical Center has a close partnership with Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, which lies immediately east of Hines’ campus. Some faculty members have joint appointments at Hines and Loyola. Students and resident physicians rotate through Hines as part of their training. Researchers from Loyola and Hines collaborate closely on many federally funded studies.
