Northwest Container Services, a Waste Connections Company, is currently looking for a full-time Gate Clerk to work at our Rail Yard in Portland, OR.

The shift will be M-F, 6:15AM – 2:45 PM Or 7:15am-3:45Pm

The pay will be $23-24/per hour

Responsibilities:

Greet and direct all customers and drivers upon entrance to the terminalTrack truck details and inspections in handheld scanning device.Enter truck information into computer systemApproaching all encounters with employees, customers and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented mannerWork on your feet outside in all weather conditions throughout your shiftThis is a safety-sensitive position

The ideal candidate will possess:

High School Diploma or equivalentExcellent customer service skillsOn-the-job computer use/data entryAbility to multi-taskAbility to stand throughout an 8-hour shiftAbility to work outside in all weather conditionsAbility to climb, bend, and stoop to inspect containers.
