We strive to “Make It Easy for Our Customers to Do Business with Herrington’s.” Ed Herrington Inc. is currently seeking full-time Gate Guard for the Hillsdale, NY location. Schedule - Monday – Friday, 7a – 4p, and every other Saturday. Summary: Guards entrance gate of location yards to control traffic to and from buildings and grounds by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned) + Directs incoming customers to material location as needed. Uses radio for communications with Yard & Warehouse employees to notify incoming customers. + Maintains log of material already in the customer’s vehicle as entering Yard. Utilized approved EHI form. + Halts outgoing customer vehicles to count and match material to paid invoice. May require asking customer to open trunks or van doors to display purchased product. + Properly marks invoices as final receipt of product. + Maintains cleanliness and safety of guard shed and surrounding area. + Provides customer service in accordance with the practices of EHI. + Performs Yard duties as assigned. + Participates in all required training assignments. + Displays teamwork and effort in performance of all duties. Supports the goals and objectives of Ed Herrington, Inc. through adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and work requirements for successful completion of all assignments.
