Must be in good academic standing with the university. Required Related Experience None Required License/Registration/Certification None Physical Requirements Lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50lbs Long periods of sitting at the information desk Working in all weather conditions
Shift Flexible Scheduling between 7 am – 12am throughout Monday-Sunday. Building hours are subject to change with academic holidays and breaks. Must be available to work weekends. Job Summary A student Service Representative of the Gatton Student Center is the first point of contact for patrons visiting the GSC. Staff working in this role are responsible for the operations of the Information Desk.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the functioning of the Information Desk while on duty. Responds appropriately when patron’s walk-up to the desk and/or call the GSC. Disseminates accurate information to patrons within the building. Responsible for the general cleanliness and organization of both Information Desk and surrounding area. Strives for excellence, demonstrated through active involvement with visitors and fostering a positive workplace atmosphere. Must be comfortable with engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds while maintaining a friendly and adaptable approach.
Qualified applicants that are eligible for Federal Work Study (FWS) are welcome to apply as well.
