Role description:
This role provides Corporate Communications advisory services and delivery support for the Places Global Business Area. It is the primary communications advisor for the Places GBA President, for internal communications and external communication including reputation management, thought leadership, and leadership engagement. It ensures the consistent and timely delivery of strategic global communications programs for the GBA and supports global communication programs. The GBA Comms Directors may also be aligned to a member of the ELT to act as comms advisor/strategist.

Lead, develop, and deliver a corporate communications and engagement strategy for the GBA to drive employee engagement and brand advocacy and promote and protect the company's reputation. Contribute to the global corporate communications strategy and to the overall Marketing and Communications program Create and deliver strategic communications plans and content for earned PR/business communication (e.g. press releases, blogs, case studies, speeches for external speaking opportunities, corporate thought leadership) and internal channels (e.g. EDMs, bulletins, intranet, webinars). Lead best practice internal communications within the GBA to support Your Voice scores with a focus on leadership engagement and strategy communication. Work collaboratively with the other GBA Comms Directors on cross-GBA communication activity bringing new ideas and concepts that promote a One Arcadis approach and culture Act as an advisor to the Marketing and Communications function of the GBA Establish strong connections across campaigns, global corporate communications, brand, and digital to deliver best-practice communications Work closely with the Global Marketing on a combined Marketing and Communications GBA strategy and with country Marketing leaders to ensure messages are localized, delivered through country teams, and amplified through GBA channels Provide strategic advice and counsel on the GBA in terms of content, messages, and appropriate spokespeople to enable marketing campaigns to be planned and marketing content to be created by the Marketing and campaign/digital teams. Deliver external communications activities including press releases on key wins, news and announcements, GBA content on Arcadis’ news section of the website, and content for social media as part of a corporate communications campaign, news, and announcements. Work with the Ops Leader, Global CMO, and the Global External and Internal Communications Directors to develop self-service models and demand prioritization models and frameworks Monitor results and ensure that communications programs are informed by data and audience insight Agree on SLAs specific to communications for the GBA with the Ops Leader to ensure deliverables are clear and ROI maximized Provide strategic communications advice and consulting to leadership teams to ensure messages are connected to their audiences (internal/external) Coach and guide GBA leaders on engagement and thought leadership to ensure they are well-equipped for internal/external speaking opportunities/conference speeches Lead the development of the core GBA narrative and key messages for corporate communication audiences and offer advice and oversight for campaign/marketing content Represent the GBA on Governance Boards including Editorial Boards and the Corporate Communications Community of Practice Own the Brand Ambassador program and drive strategic storytelling with leaders Participate in other MarComs Communities of Practice to represent each GBA Participate in crisis response communication in the event of a global or GBA-related issue that threatens reputational damage.Key Shared Accountabilities:

The candidate should have a degree qualified in an area such as Business, Journalism or Communications, Organisational Development. Continual professional or personal development i.e., Change Management or other similar qualifications. Growth Mindset with the desire to continue learning.
At least 10-15 years experience working with the C-Suite and senior stakeholders in applicable industries. Internal Communications experience is essential and some exposure to external communications would be valuable. Experience in navigating matrixed organisations such as a professional services organisation or consultancy. Experience and knowledge of data-driven approaches to reporting on success Experience managing a global team across geographies. Bringing best practice approaches to the function. Experience developing and successfully rolling out complex change, cultural and organisational programs which influence a step change. Has a keen eye/ear for tone of voice and leadership presence, a strong and versatile writer. A strategist with the ability to juggle competing demands. Understands and can apply principles for systemic behaviour shifts.
