The Sr. Project Manager is charged with successfully managing those Crawford & Company GBSC projects deemed important and critical to the organization’s continued success.

 

 

Job Scope

• Apply effective project management practices to GBSC’s organizational initiatives
• Aggressively manage project scope, cost and schedule components while simultaneously meeting or exceeding quality standards
• Provide overall leadership to the project team and create an environment where team members are motivated to perform
• Actively manage all project planning and execution tasks including, but not limited to:
o Defining scope and associated project deliverables, and applying a structured change management plan
o Building and maintaining detailed project management plans to include resource, schedule and cost components
o Constructing detailed risk management/mitigation plans
o Drafting detailed communication plans that address key stakeholders' requirements
o Work directly with project team members, stakeholders and other key entities to successfully manage the project
o Organizing project records, including project databases.
o Preparing process flow charts.
o Developing meeting agendas; drafts and distributes meeting minutes.
o Monitoring compliance with project task assignments and milestones.
o Collecting information for cost/benefit analyses.
o Tracking project expenses and budget compliance.
o Ensuring that approved operational procedures are followed in performance of duties.
o Upholding the Crawford Code of Business Conduct at all times.
o Performing other duties and participates in special projects as requested.
• Lead Operations Excellence Initiatives by working with every team, implementing and improving how the organization works
• Facilitate decision-making by identifying key stakeholders and surfacing the required information to make critical decisions
• Will work closely with project manager colleagues utilising a shared group of resources to ensure delivery of all objectives successfully, on time, and within budget
• Be a voice of authority when it comes to how we work, and be able to communicate it clearly across all disciplines
• Adapt to and apply different delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Lean
• Where required - support the sponsor in the setup of the project to ensure the business case is clearly defined (including estimates of required resources and funds) and relevant stakeholders are engaged as part of evaluating the preferred product solution.
• Make choices about resource allocation, make trade-offs among competing objectives and alternatives, and manage the interdependencies among the project management areas to ensure project success.
• Determine quality policies, objectives, and responsibilities so that the project will satisfy the needs for which it was undertaken and the project requirements, including product requirements, are met and validated.
• Conduct risk management planning, identification, analysis, response planning, and controlling risk on a project to increase the likelihood and impact of positive events, and decrease the likelihood and impact of negative events in the project.
• Identify the people, groups, or organizations that could impact or be impacted by the project. Understand and analyse their needs and expectations and their impact on the project, addresses issues as they occur, manage conflicting interests and develop appropriate management strategies for effectively engaging stakeholders in project decisions and execution.

Functional Knowledge

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Business or related fields
• 7+ years Process Transformation and Business Change Project Management experience with a focus on large, complex, multi-location programs or projects
• Has a proven track record of delivering complex, multi-process solutions including RPA projects
• Must have previous experience in managing and implementing RPA projects
• Must have previous experience in Compliance
• Excellent self-starter with a track record of seamless execution on complex projects with minimal guidance
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills and are comfortable working side-by-side with company leaders
• Understands and has acted as a Business Analyst
• Financial Services and General Insurance industry experience an advantage
• Experience of working on Claims projects an advantage
• Must manage all aspects of a project to ensure that informed decision making is supported. Frequent contact with business, technology and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Highly motivated, self-directed individual
• Proficient PC skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Visio and Lotus Notes an asset.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent work ethic; proactive; demonstrates initiative in completing assignments.
• Familiarity with one or more project management methodologies.
• Ability to understand business processes and recognize issues/problems.
• Ability to negotiate and set expectations a plus.
• PMP certification (or currently pursuing) desired
• Six Sigma (at least Green Belt) or Lean, or both Certifications
