The position is based in Tampa, Florida. Must have an active/current TS/SCI clearance. **WHAT YOU WILL DO:** The GCCS Tier 2 System Administrator will participate as a member of integrated government/contractor team of technical and functional experts in the conduct of Global Command and Command System – Joint (GCCS-J) administration; software application support, configuration management support, and IT support services supporting U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) GCCS-J services. The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users. Specifically, the GCCS Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications. Responsible for ensuring system availability and reliability of the Global Command and Control System - Joint (GCCS-J) and related GCCS Family of Systems (FoS) on the networks. Establishes complex operational databases, software configuration control and system interfaces for computer systems related to customer GCCS systems. Documents, analyzes, and troubleshoots systems anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance. The GCCS Systems Administrator will be directly responsible for the effective and efficient operation and interconnectivity of a Department of Defense Network and will execute the actions required to correct deficiencies or shortcomings and to improve system performance and efficiency. Performing System and Network Administration and System Security. The GCCS Systems Administrator will provide senior level knowledge and Tier 2 support to the customer and their components to include Tier 2 infrastructure, design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support that builds, configures, and administers GCCS and related GCCS FoS. Configure devices in accordance with security policies. Provide systems administration, system maintenance, and technical refresh/upgrade support to C2 application/systems. Work with GCCS PMO or other designated C2 PMO. Procure hardware with minimum specifications as determined by the PMO and GOTS developer. Other daily duties include (but are not limited to): + Ensure COP availability to customer and maintain daily backups + Maintain and troubleshoot GCCS COP Server issues where they arise and troubleshoot Agile Client application issues where they arise. + Install and maintain RHHI-V, Red Hat Satellite, Ansible Tower, GitLab + Maintain database instances (Oracle, Sybase, PostgreSQL) and perform software updates and remediation scans + Perform STIG validation against operating systems, application servers and databases + Create, work, and solve service requests using trouble ticketing system and ensure server hardware is in working order and redundant + Produce and maintain processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) + Maintain Red Hat JBoss application servers and maintain and troubleshoot Enterprise Linux OS issues where they arise. + Additionally, the C2 team members will provide remote support. Team members will be on a scheduled on-call, and shift work may be required during exercises and contingencies. **WHAT YOU WILL NEED:** + Requires at least 3+ year of work experience in IT System Administration and Linux Operating Systems. + Must have work experience with Global Command and Command System – Joint (GCCS-J) or GCCS Systems administration, systems integration and network administration. + Must have Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience and must have a working knowledge of Solaris zones and Red Hat Kernel Virtual Machines (KVM) + Experience building server suites, troubleshooting and systems integration/virtualization and database management. + Working knowledge of supporting Operating Systems: Windows Server 2008-2016, VMWare vSphere and Solaris 10-11. + BA/BS degree and 3 years of work experience or a AA/AS degree and 5 years of related work experience, or no degree and 7+ years of related work experience **Desired Experience:** + Experience with the following systems: TBMCS, AEGIS, DCGS, JTT, ADNS, TADL, Link, ADSI, JTAGS + Experience with: ICSF, COP, Agile Client, TMSWeb, KML/KMZ, MIL STD 2525D, ArcGIS, Google Earth + Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards and work experience with DoD IT security requirements + Experience with VMware ESXi administration and knowledge of virtualization concepts and products (VMware). + Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for user and groups. + Familiarity with Oracle/Sybase/Postgress database maintenance and familiarity with Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss). + Familiarity with Linux/UNIX applications and services (NFS, SSH, NTP, LDAP, HTTP, Ansible). **Required/Preferred Certifications:** + Required Certs: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required for DoD 8570 IATT level II compliance. + Preferred certs: Oracle Solaris, RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) or MCSA-Windows Server 2012 **Clearance Requirement:** + **Active TS/SCI clearance is required. If you do not have an active/current TS/SCI clearance please do not apply!** **Travel Requirements:** + Required USCENTCOM Exercise support of up to 15% Travel during the Year to OCONUS Locations. Candidate must also be available for and willing to travel, including international deployment to austere environments up to 15% annually and for durations of up to one-month at a time. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
