As a member of Global Customer Support, you conduct advanced second-level troubleshooting and provide guidance to your team members on troubleshooting. You consistently work with cross-functional teams and lead team members, participate in and/or lead design reviews. Additionally, you provide instructions to the team on all elements within the project to establish service requirements in development projects. You create and update documentation and curricula and conduct training for internal personnel.
As a GCS Mol Labs Senior Specialist (m/f/d) - Bioinformatics, you define the scope of work and work independently. You are a technical expert on the product(s) and work on complex projects that require comprehensive knowledge of products and systems. Your tasks are defined as follows:
You maintain and update the product-specific knowledge pool and ensure the accuracy and relevance of the content.
You are responsible for sub-processes such as e-learning and support documentation as well as the definition and adherence to service, training, and support concepts.
You support local and regional services on-site and contribute to the quick resolution of customer issues.
You contribute to the training methodology and the creation of training content, and you conduct training for end customers, support staff, and trainers.
You offer second-level support hotlines, minimize system downtimes, and ensure quick solutions.
You support the initial certification and recertification of trainers and coordinate update training.
You create and maintain support documentation as well as user documentation and participate in Multi-Center Evaluation (MCE) studies.
Who you are:
You have successfully completed your studies in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or a similar field.
You already have several years of professional experience in the scientific sequencing environment.
Your extensive experience in the secondary/tertiary analysis of NGS data distinguishes you.
You find it easy to interpret public annotation databases.
You can apply tools such as BLAST, Bowtie, Clustal, etc., as well as common algorithms for evaluating sequencing data.
You possess good communication, organizational, and logical thinking skills, which facilitate your interactions with internal interfaces.
You enjoy developing and conducting training for specialists and technicians. You already possess the methodological and didactic skills for this role, or you are interested in acquiring these skills.
You believe that the phrase \"I am just doing my job\" does not fit a team-oriented approach, and you enjoy working for and with customers and are extremely service-oriented.
