WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

We are looking for a highly dynamic, motivated, and collaborative person to join our team. We are focused on the modernization of legacy systems and development of new capabilities of digital solutions in the Operational EHS domain. There is a growing global need within BASF to leverage digitalization to continue BASF’s journey of EHS excellence and continuously improving our capabilities especially through digitalization.

RESPONSIBILITIES You will lead the technical design and delivery of the SWIFT platform, including organizing and overseeing the efforts of multiple development squads to ensure timely delivery and successful deployments. You will build upon your existing expertise in agile software development, platform & module design, and project management to organize the requirements, module design, platform design (when necessary), resource allocation and estimation, testing, and communication associated with global full stack development. You will collaborate strategically and tactically across many teams in the division to further develop a unified operations platform solution that integrates the EHS, maintenance and operations domains in a scalable environment. You will support teammates to map out processes from multiple regions, including Germany/Ludwigshafen, Americas, Europe, and Asia to produce a consolidated, creative design proposal including wireframes/mockups and detailed workflows as an input to the software development team. You will, on a continuous basis, collaborate with stakeholders in EHS, production, and digitalization across all BASF regions on topics related to module design, road-mapping, prioritization, and continuous improvement, ultimately ensuring buy-in and customer satisfaction, especially during critical delivery periods or escalation cases. You will support the implementation and ongoing use of the solutions in your area by partnering with solution engineers and DevOps engineers in the team, especially during project planning and the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) phases You will develop formal communication and deliver presentations related to module strategy, outlook, and status on a regular basis to tactical stakeholders and leadership at multiple levels in the organization. QUALIFICATIONS Experience in business process modelling and software design, including module development organization, resource planning and estimation, and coordinating inputs and outputs of full stack developers. Full stack development expertiseFamiliar with modern full stack and cloud native development structureProject management/coordination experience High comfort level with software and smart technologies Experience developing and delivering leadership-level communications  Familiarity with core EHS processes in the chemical manufacturing industry or similar industries is a plus BENEFITS A secure work environment because your health, safety and wellbeing is always our top priority.Flexible work schedule and Home-office options, so that you can balance your working life and private life.Learning and development opportunities23 holiday days per year5 additional days (readjustment)2 cultural daysA collaborative, trustful and innovative work environment Being part of an international team and work in global projectsRelocation assistance to Madrid providedAt BASF, the chemistry is right.
