The Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) organization is responsible for the AWS Private Pricing Program, designed to offer AWS Customers access to commercial benefits in exchange for multi-year spend commitments. GDSP is made up of 2 distinct yet closely linked teams; Private Pricing Programs & Experiences and Strategic Customer Engagements. 3PX is responsible for the design and delivery of the end-to-end Private Pricing experience for Customers, Sellers, and Solution Providers to drive scale and growth. SCE is a specialized global deal team that engages with Customers, and partners with the field on deal strategy, structuring, and negotiations through contractual closure for transformational, strategic, large, complex, and/or highly competitive Customer opportunities.

Reporting to the Director, GDSP you will lead a team responsible for centralizing approvals-related policies and processes to ensure consistent application of Amazon Spending and Transaction Policies (S&TP) while improving operational efficiencies to maximize deal velocity and maintain highest standards. The successful candidate will synthesize diverse inputs from large internal customer segments and stakeholders to set the vision and design strategy to achieve consensus on goals and priorities while leading internal and external cross-functional teams to build scalable policies and process improvements to increase operational efficiencies. In this highly visible role, we are seeking a motivated leader with strong mentoring and development acumen.


Key job responsibilities
• Lead a global organization defining and centralizing the Private Pricing Program and S&TP Approvals
• Lead centralized documentation of all Private Pricing deal approval policies (the rules that govern approvals) and processes (operationalizing those rules), while streamlining and eliminating policies and processes that stifle innovation and impact approvals velocity.
• Ensure the Approvals Team upholds Amazon policies, Private Pricing mental models, established approval guidelines, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to identify, investigate, and resolve existing deal approval policies and process escalations, blockers, issues, gaps, and pain points that impact deal velocity.
• Leverage your organizational experience, advanced business judgement, and understanding of the impact on stakeholders to drive goals to completion.
• Identify opportunities and define the roadmap to achieve organization-wide objectives while, streamlining or eliminating excess processes.
