Position classification Onsite -- Job duties and expectations require employee to be regularly scheduled onsite. + Description + Benefits What Success Looks Like In This Job + Report to the Programs Supervisor. + Adhere to policy, procedures, and post orders. + Attend required trainings and practice safety/security awareness. + Utilize effective interpersonal communication skills (verbal, nonverbal, written, listening) + Provide professional customer service. + Promote a positive team atmosphere. + Communicate effectively with immediate supervisor, co-workers, and other jail staff. + Work closely with and take direction from the Programs Supervisor and GED Instructors. + Must be certified as a Pearson Vue GED Proctor or be able to obtain certification upon being hired. + Certification can take place at the Adams County Detention Facility test center. + Must be able to learn the Pearson Vue software and work independently with the software. + Testing takes place in-person with the inmates present in the room (no virtual testing). + Work approximately 16 hours per week. + Work with inmates of all ages and classifications (male and female). + Prepare reports/statements when necessary. + Work with inmates of varying abilities and cultural backgrounds. + Provide structure in the classroom for testing, while also being supportive and encouraging. + Must be certified as a Pearson Vue GED Proctor or be able to obtain certification upon being hired. (Certification can take place at the Adams County Detention Facility test center). + Must be able to learn the Pearson Vue software and work independently with the software. Qualifications for Success + Minimum 21 years of age + Ability to be assertive and self-motivated + Must be able to read, write, and speak English with high proficiency + Must have a college degree in Education or related field. + A valid Colorado Driver’s License More Qualifications for Success Other Information This position will require successfully passing the following: Pre-screening of minimum qualifications Skills test Oral Interview Extensive Background Check Job Suitability Exam Integrity Interview Computerized Voice Stress Analysis (CVSA) If a conditional offer is given, you will be asked to: Schedule a Medical and Drug Screening Depending on the position, a psychological exam may also be scheduled Our process takes approximately 45 days from the start of the background process. Academy Cadet and Certified positions may include other components, such as a physical agility test.
