We are seeking an experienced GenAI and Automation lead, with a strong data science background to join our Intelligent Automation & Enterprise Data team. The ideal candidate will be a self-driving expert that drives the GenAI/Automation strategy, manages the portfolio, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and optimize business processes. This role requires strong technical expertise in AI, machine learning, and software development practices alongside leadership skills to deliver impactful GenAI-powered automation projects.

We are the Information Technology (IT) organization for our Animal Health company, responsible for partnering with business leaders to provide intelligent automation solutions that drive data-focused, self-driving capabilities and ensure reliable information management. The position reports to the Animal Health IT Intelligent Automation & Enterprise Data lead.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of the GenAI and automation strategy within the Intelligent Automation & Enterprise Data team
Manage a diverse portfolio of GenAI and automation projects, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact, feasibility, and resource allocation
Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the success and ROI of such initiatives
Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to identify GenAI and automation opportunities and optimize business processes
Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to gather input, ideas, and insights from cross-functional teams to enhance strategy
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members in AI, machine learning, and software development practices
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in GenAI and automation to continuously enhance team capabilities
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of GenAI-powered automation projects, from inception to deployment and continuous improvement
Communicate the benefits of GenAI solutions to stakeholders, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and ethical considerations in the application of AI technologies
Prepare and present reports to senior management on progress, outcomes, and future opportunities within the GenAI and automation landscape
Your Profile
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in data science, AI, machine learning, or automation, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management position
Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex GenAI and automation projects from conception to deployment
Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with various stakeholders to drive organizational change
Strong proficiency in AI and machine learning frameworks and tools
Familiarity with software development methodologies and practices (e.g., Agile, DevOps)
Strong project management skills with a capability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Excellent change management skills to drive adoption of new technologies and processes
Creative problem-solving abilities to identify innovative solutions to business challenges through automation
Exceptionally well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders and business strategy effectively
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
