What You’ll Be Doing:

As our General Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our business. Your daily responsibilities will include:

Reviewing daily income and reconciling cash and credit card payments. Managing group and airline invoices, processing payments, and resolving chargeback issues. Handling guest and client billing inquiries with accuracy and professionalism. Assisting with tax preparations and processing city ledger payment postings. Performing account reconciliations, follow-up billing, and credit collection while monitoring and reporting on uncollectible accounts. Supporting accounts payable (AP) duties, including invoice verification and payment processing. Assisting with month-end inventory and financial reporting. Collaborating with other departments on equipment or product purchases and financial tracking. Ensuring compliance with provincial and federal health and safety requirements related to financial operations. Handling additional accounting-related tasks as needed.

Does This Sound Like You?

You are analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to problem-solve independently. Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and Data-Plus accounting software. You have strong communication skills and can effectively interact with guests, colleagues, and leadership. You work well in a team-oriented environment and are willing to support co-workers as needed. You have solid math skills and can compile and interpret financial data accurately. You are highly organized, efficient, and reliable.

Essential Job Functions:

Invoice Processing & Expense Management Receive, process, verify, and reconcile invoices. Maintain historical records of invoices, reports, receipts, and payments. Verify vendor accounts and reconcile monthly statements. Payroll & Accounts Payable (AP) Support Process employee expense reports. Ensure outstanding balances are updated with credit memos. Assist in confirming subcontractor work hours, bonuses, and project costs. Financial Reconciliation & Compliance Perform regular financial reconciliations and reporting. Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, permits, and financial policies. Attend departmental meetings and maintain proper documentation. Operational & Leadership Support Provide clear financial insights and guidance to leadership. Support the team in tracking financial performance and operational budgets. Assist with financial audits and reporting as needed.
