General Accountant (Record-to-Report) Specialist - Ho Chi Minh City
1/ Job Purpose:To complete the assignment as per Record-to-Report (RTR) Specialist Job Profiles and RTR Manager's assignment

2/ Main Accountabilities:
Has expertise in reporting processes and local regulatory requirements (legal and tax)Prepares journal entries for approvalAnalyzes process and system problems, makes effective recommendations and process all information with strict attention to accuracyMaintains a master list of monthly journal entriesMaintains master data of accounting systemReconciles balance sheet accountsSupports RTR Manager in the definition of the local or non-global processesExecutes RTR processes as per DHL Global Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and local SOPs if any, including regulatory reporting, support to country management decisions, adjustments to the Profit & Loss, and audit supportWorks closely with other DHL entities to ensure open lines of communication are maintainedExecutes in conjunction with Global Service Center (GSC) team the strategy for RTR processSupports RTR/ Intercompany Manager in the review of the service providers’ performance Dispute Management: Receives and resolves escalations from GSC, stations/operations and DHL entitiesResolutions of journal entry calculation and posting issues, reconciliation issues, month-end closing, year-end closing Compliance with local regulation – responsible for local regulatory reporting, statistics, and ad-hoc requestsReporting: Reviews daily reports, ad hoc, and other reporting mechanisms. Reports performance updates and escalates to RTR Manager and other stakeholders as neededSupports Controlling Team and local management in the budget process and internal and external auditors with their requests
3/ Process:Follow DHL global SOP and Job Aids to work with the related parties in the country and GSC
4/ Requirements:1-2 years of experience in a related fieldBachelor's degree in Finance or equivalentGood knowledge of accounting standards, statutory, regulatory and legal requirementsFluent in English verbal/written communicationSolid experience in MS Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, charts, etc.) requiredExperience working with shared service centers is a plus pointGood stakeholder communication skills to collaborate with other departments & GSC to have a smooth processAbility to take ownership and drive improvementAbility to take initiative and follow up with detailsLogical thinking, analytical skills, detail-oriented, and customer-focused. Proactive in identifying potential issues, and in developing practical solutions
