Clinical Assistant Professor

The UT Health San Antonio, School of Dentistry is seeking applications for an Clinical Assistant Professor position within the Division of General Dentistry. This position is dedicated exclusively to direct patient care in the General Dentistry Faculty Practice Clinic, with no teaching or academic responsibilities. The role is 100% clinical, providing high-quality comprehensive dental services to patients.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct patient care, including diagnostic, preventive, restorative, and other general dental treatments. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of dental professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. Maintain accurate patient records using the electronic health record (EHR) system. Follow established clinical guidelines and best practices to ensure optimal patient care and safety. Participate in departmental meetings related to clinical operations and patient management.

Qualifications: DDS, DMD, or foreign equivalent degree, from an ADA-accredited dental school. Active Texas Dental license or eligibility for licensure in Texas. A minimum of three years of clinical experience in general dentistry. Strong clinical skills and commitment to delivering patient-centered care. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a faculty practice or private practice setting. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital dentistry technology.
