CGI Federal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Engineer to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client in Huntsville, AL. The selected individual will provide engineering support to meet client requirements for an Army hypersonic rocket and missile program.
This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Provide technical, engineering, and management support for the planning, direction, and control of hypersonic weapons programs.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as evaluations, reports, studies, briefings, recommended specifications, draft standards, and commercial item descriptions for product development.
Provide technical recommendations and expertise in missiles and the interface between munitions and launcher systems, including source selection and other evaluation/contracting efforts.
Perform trade-off studies and risk assessment analysis of candidate systems and provide approaches to mitigate risks.
Provide inputs to the integrated master schedule, including should cost, schedule, and production status for hypersonic weapons programs.
Provide technical support and engineering expertise in modeling and simulation theory, high-level architecture, planning, development, verification and validation, and simulation execution.
Evaluate and analyze models and simulations developed by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) prime contractors and subcontractors and assess their viability for use as Government tools.
Support the coordination and assessment of the adequacy of models and simulations to represent weapon system performance against defined targets.
Perform all functional duties independently, typically at a Journeyman labor category level.
3 to 10 years of experience in engineering or a related field.
BA/BS or MA/MS degree in a relevant discipline.
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Experience with technical documentation, evaluations, and reports.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Familiarity with DoD engineering processes and requirements
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Experience supporting Army or other DoD programs.
Knowledge of hypersonic weapons systems.
Experience with modeling and simulation theory and practices.
Familiarity with source selection and contracting efforts.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $99,200.00 - $219,600.00.
