The candidate shall provide project engineering services. Assists in other engineering services such as inspection and testing, maintenance services, plant monitoring, testing, optimization and improvement, and engineering documentation.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Monitors recurrent alarms or outages, or costly damage of running equipment for analysis of root causes and development of initiatives to prevent outages and extend working life. Monitors output of equipment conditioning monitoring program to identify potential problems and develop solutions. Witness repair, maintenance and overhaul of running equipment to ensure compliance with reliability standards Initiate programs for the improvement of the reliability of running equipment – reducing frequency and duration of outages, extending life between outages, reduce noise vibrations, hot spots, etc. Develop specifications and standards for equipment procurement, testing, installation, commissioning, and repair for assuring equipment reliability. Assists inspection engineer as required and witnessing of tests and analysis. Perform engineering calculations as required. Provides assistance to Project engineers in project development; updating of equipment documentation; and technical evaluation for accreditation of contractors and suppliers.

 

Qualifications:

 

Candidate must be a professional level, PRC licensed, Mechanical Engineer. Preferably with 2 to 3 years applied knowledge and experience in Plant operations, maintenance and/or engineering practice in a heavy industrial process plant. With strong analytical and troubleshooting/problem solving and decision-making skills. Motivated to work with minimum supervision. Physically fit and not afraid to get hands dirty. Confident with leadership skills and articulate, able to communicate well with internal and external organizations. People oriented and can get along well with people. With understanding / knowledge in API/ASME codes Knowledgeable in MS Office applications, preferably AutoCAD, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
