SHIFT: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Flexible), Monday - Friday

NOTE: The Seasonal period runs through December

ROLE SUMMARY:  
If you are an individual who enjoys driving tractors, working with their hands and being in the outdoors, the General Farm Labor role is for you.  It is an introduction into different farm activities while working individually and with others. Here is your chance to learn and demonstrate skills from mowing grass, harvesting hay and repairing equipment.   

 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Land Preparations – tillage, plow, disc, planting, spreading, and rolling 

Harvesting equipment- cutting, tedding, raking, moving and wrapping 

Landscape-lawn mowing, weed eating, clipper, blower, complete tasks at farms and brewery 

Implement usage-demonstrate ability to attach and detach implements to tractors/vehicles.  Inspect hoses and couplers for wear or leakage.  Communicate any potential failures to mechanic or lead. 

Have basic knowledge of GPS-how to set up and use 

Road maintenance-grade and smooth gravel roads and parking lots 

Shuttle trailers/hyacinths wagons 

Learn water testing on one farm to assist in w/e rotation 

Review tank levels and Create schedule for application plan for the day 

Collect water samples and conduct QA testing 

Set mixer and blower timer on PLC controller 

Start and monitor pivots through operation (manually walk pivots to get out of stalled condition) 

Complete maintenance on the pivot nozzles and pads- 

Check Ponds and open discharges as necessary 

Maintain pivot roads and equipment around center pivot as needed  

 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

High School Diploma or GED Required and at least 18 years of age

Use of basic hand tools 

Work overtime and weekends as needed to meet business needs

Operate medium utility tractor and batwing mower.

Implement usage-demonstrate ability to attach and detach implements to tractors/vehicles.  Inspect hoses and couplers for wear or leakage.  Communicate any potential failures to mechanic or lead operator.

Basic maintenance equipment-conduct pre-operation checks to include visual exams and lubrication

Maintain landscape using equipment such as-mowers, weed eaters, blowers, clippers and edger’s

Equipment cleaning-removing hay, grass, dirt, and chemicals manually or with water and air.

Sweep, hose and generally clean buildings, haul trash and remove debris around work/break areas.

Use of proper PPE whenever required

Recognize unsafe conditions and communicate with leadership team
