We're looking for a General Foreman to join our utilities arm of Kier called Natural Resources, working across wastewater treatment sites in the north Thames Valley region, Oxfordshire. In this role you will support various projects on the Thames Water WAAP Programme and help deliver the requirements of the individual project to both above and below ground assets.
Location: Sites in the north Thames Valley (Oxfordshire) - Culham WwTW, Sonning Common WwTW and Horton Wwtw.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Responsibilities
We're looking for a General Foreman to join our NRNN business unit Water business unit. In this role you'll play a crucial role in overseeing daily site operations and ensuring projects run smoothly. You'll be the link between management and the workforce, responsible for translating plans into action on the ground.
Your day to day will include:
Ensuring health and safety by enforcing regulation, conducting inspections, carrying out toolbox talks and incident reporting. Managing site operations such as material and equipment management, progress monitoring, quality solving and problem solving. Communication and reporting with management, workforce and record keeping. Supervising and coordinating the workforce, such as daily allocation, performance monitoring, team motivation and labour/subcontractor coordination.
What are we looking for?
This role of General Foreman is great for you if:
Proven experience in a similar role as a Foreman / Foreperson within the construction, civils or utilities industry. Strong supervisory experience and knowledge of regulation and legislation relating to building. Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation (e.g., CDM Regulations). CSCS Black Card (or equivalent). SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
