Job Responsibilities and Duties:\n

At Sibanye-Stillwater, the Analytical Lab & Recycle General Foreman is responsible for providing direct supervision for Lab staff and hourly personnel, establishing and maintaining safety and production work standards, continued optimization of operational systems, understanding and articulating the specific short term and the general, longer term goals of the company, budget development and adherence, and is a champion of on-going project initiatives. The General Foreman is the owner and has accountability for achieving the short term production plan. The Lab & Recycle General Foreman's primary duties are: Supervisory: \n

\u2022 Interviews, hires, and ensures training of new staff in the department. \n

\u2022 Oversees the daily workflow of the department. \n

\u2022 Provides constructive and timely performance management feedback and evaluations for direct reports. Duties\/Responsibilities: \n

\u2022 Foster positive, cooperative relationships with maintenance and other groups in the Company. \n

\u2022 Provide leadership for safe and productive operations. \n

\u2022 Coach and mentor Lab\/Recycle leadership in accordance with Sibanye Stillwater leadership qualities. \n

\u2022 Lead Lab\/Recycle operations team to ensure maximum productivity and equipment availability by safely optimizing operating systems and procedures. \n

\u2022 Regularly interact with the workforce, demonstrating high level leadership qualities. \n

\u2022 Work with site senior leadership team in continuing development of a focused, engaged culture throughout the organization. \n

\u2022 Establish and execute one week to three-month plan that supports the growth of the operation. \n

\u2022 Develop and execute strategic workforce planning. \n

\u2022 Develop and communicate site goals and initiatives in cooperation with other site managers and general foremen. \n

\u2022 Foster cooperation, collaboration and innovation to ensure that site production and development goals are understood and efficiently supported. \n

\u2022 Be pro-active in all aspects of the operation; safety, environmental, effective and efficient utilization of resources, productivity, continuous Improvement initiatives, and teamwork across the site.\n

\u2022 Actively support and contribute to development of Safety and Health Management and Environmental systems and regulatory compliance. \n

\u2022 Maintain a productive labor relations environment, promoting fair and consistent practices. \n

\u2022 Drive timely and consistent auditing processes with appropriate follow up. \n

\u2022 Ensure timely completion of quality incident investigations and reporting. \n

\u2022 Provide input and feedback on Business Improvement initiatives.\n

\u2022 Other duties as assigned.\n

Qualifications and Skills:\n

Required:\n

Understanding of safety and environmental procedures, maintenance, and equipment functions in an industrial environment. \n

\u2022 Ability to communicate with technical specialists and to interpret technical drawings and specification documents. \n

\u2022 Leadership qualities including: character, teamwork, communication, business sense, and vision. \n

\u2022 Well established communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and record keeping skills. \n

\u2022 Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite to include Word and Excel) and other department specific systems. \n

\u2022 Working knowledge of assay theory and sampling techniques. Demonstrable experience and skills include: \n

\u2022 Ability to analytically and rationally make decisions \n

\u2022 Understanding of laboratory\/recycle operations and maintenance processes \n

\u2022 Ability to conduct Critical Task Analysis and develop Standard Operating Procedures \n

\u2022 General knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements \n

\u2022 Understanding of company policies, procedures and standards \n

\u2022 Utilization of HR, Safety, and Environmental resources to expand knowledge of noted areas above. \n

\u2022 Willingness to learn and apply modern-day technology to improve reliability \n

\u2022 Support implementation of safety and quality control systems\n
\n

Education & Experience\n\nHigh school diploma and 5 or more years of lab or processing plant experience; OR relevant bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent and 2 years work experience in a leadership role.\nPost-Secondary education in a relevant field is preferred\nExperience with MSHA\/OSHA regulations\nProject management experience\nChemistry or chemical engineering experience preferred\n\n
