POSITION SUMMARY Timber Products Company is looking for a General Foreman for its Plywood Manufacturing mill in Medford, OR.  This position supports the company in meeting its production goals by supervising all activities of employees on their assigned shift; ensures a safe and efficient work environment by communicating and managing Company established quality, production, safety and human resource policies. Shift : May be assigned to any shift - Day: 7am-3pm, Swing: 3pm-11pm, or Graveyard: 11pm-7am MAJOR TASKS • Supervises the entire production process while managing staff (salaried and hourly), equipment, and materials to achieve the highest safety, quality and production levels. • Resolves conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably. • Maintains quality control standards to maximize company profitability and achieve customer satisfaction. • Regularly inspects the mill for maintenance and safety problems and then reports to the appropriate staff members. • Conducts individual meetings and leads crew meetings to communicate pertinent information to employees. • Completes administrative paperwork and reporting related to production reports, scheduling, personnel actions, payroll and safety. • Participates in selection process and recommends applicants for hire. • Uses independent judgment in identifying and establishing long and short-term work goals and organizing and directing resources needed to meet these goals • Responsible for supporting and enforcing company policies and procedures.
