Sweep, mop, and scrub floors either by hand or with floor scrubber. Wash, dust and polish furniture and fixtures as assigned. Clean and wash walls, window ledges, drinking fountains, all required painting, etc. Clean and disinfect toilets, wash basins, etc. in restrooms and maintain supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc. Remove litter, waste paper and other refuse from offices and plant and dispose of properly. Use hand tools such as shovel, broom, mops, and equipment such as hand truck, wheelbarrow, floor scrubber, etc. Assist maintenance personnel by performing laborious or simple work for them, but not in the sense of a trade helper. Maintain a clean work area. Follow all safety and housekeeping rules, policies and procedures. Works from written and verbal instructions. Loading and unloading forklift for non-production purposes only (based on contract agreement signed on 8/12/09).
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to write and speak simple sentences.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense and to carry out simple instructions.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
