Responsibilities JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for cleaning the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Mops the warehouse bins by hand Scrubs the dock pits Cleans the restroom twice per day Mops the dock levelers Wipes down the racking by hand Sweeps the entire warehouse twice a day Collects all garbage inside and out Cleans up outside around the trailers and dock doors Working with and mixing janitorial chemicals for all Warehouse cleaning. Bathroom chemicals, and degreasers, as well as the cleaning up of oils and hydraulic fluids in and around the dock pits. Ability to drive the Tennant cleaning machine Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Adhere to all safety polices and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: No prior experience or training. EXPERIENCE: COMMUNICATION SKILLS: In order to promote a manufacturing environment that is safe and efficient for both personnel and food, the ability to effectively communicate in basic English (both verbal and written) is required. This includes the ability to speak, read and comprehend safety instructions, rules and warnings for self and others in both normal and emergency situations. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Not Applicable REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations.
