The production associate is responsible for performing a variety of focused tasks on a rotated basis to support the daily production.

\r\n

Essential Duties, Functions, and responsibilities:

\r\n\r\nProcess product using tools and equipment provided\r\nFollows all work safety policies and guidelines\r\nObserves equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns\r\nAdheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) product standards and guidelines\r\nMaintains a clean and organized work area\r\nWill be required to rotate to various functions within the processing department\r\nPerforms other duties as assigned\r\nAccountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours\r\nWill be required to assist in clean up at break times and end of shift including dumping trash and operating compactor hours.\r\n\r\n

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

\r\n\r\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment\r\nAbility to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions\r\nMust be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.\r\nMust be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States\r\nMust pass a background check, drug screen\r\nMust be able to read and write\r\nMust be able to read a scale\r\nAbility to multitask and visualize product issues such as air in product and air voids\r\nAbility to meet time standards for each line (ex. 4 pieces of product per min)\r\nProperly place product in net (if applicable) correctly\r\nProperly scale product to correct weight according to specs\r\nAbility to place product in pockets correctly                         \r\n\r\n

Physical Requirements:

\r\n\r\nStanding (8 hours a day or more)\r\nLifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling (up to and including 50 lbs. or more)\r\nReaching overhead (up to and including 25 lbs.)\r\nClimbing and adjusting stationary stands\r\nWorking with handheld cutting tools\r\nGripping, grasping, and twisting using hands and wrists\r\nBending and stooping for long periods of time\r\n\r\n

Working Conditions/Department Description:

\r\n\r\nWork in damp and cold environment  \r\nWork with loud and noisy machinery\r\nWork in dusty environment when using spice\r\nWork with raw meat\r\nWork in congested areas\r\n\r\n

Job Requirements:

\r\n\r\nMust be at least 18 years of age\r\nLegally authorized to work in the United States.\r\nMechanical machinery experience preferred\r\n\r\n
