Job Description
We are seeking dedicated general laborers to join our team. In this role, you will use hand tools and equipment to clean machinery and work areas. This includes tasks such as cleaning ash, oil, and spills, and performing overall cleaning during shutdowns. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and work varied hours if required.
ResponsibilitiesUse hand tools and equipment to perform cleaning tasks on machinery and work areas.Utilize shovels, scrapers, power washing equipment, hoses, etc.Clean ash from products and shovel into buckets.Clean oil, spills, and other contaminants from areas around machinery.Perform overall cleaning of entire machine during shutdowns.Repetitively lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, or crawl.Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.Climb ladders attached to machinery or stairs.Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including double hearing protection, fire-resistant coveralls, eye protection, and hard hats.Clean up grease, oil, ash, and lime at the manufacturing site.Essential SkillsExperience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.Willingness to work varied hours, including early mornings and late evenings if required.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with power washing or hydro blasting equipment.Experience in industrial cleaning.Understanding of confined spaces or respirator usage.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will work as a 3rd party contractor at a steel mill in a hot, dirty, loud, dusty, and oily environment. The standard workweek is 40 hours with an 8-hour shift starting at 6:30 am. Overtime may require earlier or later shifts. Contractors are required to wear steel toe boots, eye protection, hard hats, double hearing protection, and fire-resistant coveralls. The company aims to start 3-4 people per week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
